The bridleway - a free public amenity

What is this about?

Center Parcs, the short-break holiday company, are appealing for permission to build a 5th resort on green field, Green Belt, land in an Area of Great Landscape Value, in beautiful unspoilt countryside between Steppingley and Millbrook in Bedfordshire.

Their planning application was refused after scrupulous examination by Mid Beds District Council of all arguments, reports and details put forward by them.

This site aims to explain, without the baggage of spin and euphemism so prevelant in Center Parcs' presentation of its case, what the proposal entails and why the decision is both correct and laudable.

The public inquiry hearing Center Parcs' appeal has finished. The Inspector will now prepare his report to the Secretary of State. The report should probably be ready by the summer.
